Dopo la serie da 150gb e il primo sata2 da 160gb Wd rilascia la nuova serie di hard disk chiamata ''velociraptor''.

carino anche il sistema di raffreddamento interno.


ci stavo facendo un pensierino tempo fà.. ma penso che dovrò aspettar il cambio di pc.. perchè la p5b vanilla.. ha il raid fatto con i piedi.. e usa un controller strambissimo che dà un sacco di problemi.. e prima di spender 300 e passa euro per un paio di questi vorrei esser sicuro di poterli utlizzar senza aver problemi

bisognerebbe anche sapere i prezzi.
un raptor odierno da 150gb costa praticamente 150€ al nuovo....se si mantengono sulla stessa linea un gioiellino del genere saranno almeno 300€.

è una cifra enorme se si considera che con gli stessi € o poco più ormai si portano a casa(dal mercato oem) due mau in raid 0 con il controller su pci-e.

da felice possessore di un raptor mi domandavo, l'SSD è davvero piu performante? rispetto anche ai velociraptor che vantaggi e svantaggi ci sono?
applicazioni reali per ssd?

gli ssd sono molto più veloci e prestanti sia dei raptor che dei velociraptor.
La cosa che attualmente frena la loro diffusione nel mercato consumer è l'alto costo di realizzo.
Per un SSD da 32gb si sborsano quasi 1000$.
Avevo letto comunque un articolo che mette in confronto i raptor con un ssd da 32gb;se lo ritrovo te lo posto.
